What this policy covers
This policy explains what information The SD Lab collects through this website, why we collect it, and how it is used. It applies to this site only, not to third-party platforms we link out to, which run under their own policies.
Information you give us
We only receive information you choose to send. That is normally your name, email address, company and whatever context you include when you submit a speaking inquiry, book a strategy call or reply to an email.
Scheduling for strategy calls is handled by an external calendar provider. When you book, the details you enter go to that provider and to Tom directly.
Information collected automatically
Like most websites, this site records basic technical and usage data, pages visited, referring source, approximate location, browser and device type. It is used in aggregate to understand which pages are useful. We do not use it to build advertising profiles.
How we use it
To respond to your enquiry, review a speaking or workshop request, run the strategy call you booked, deliver anything you explicitly signed up for, and improve the content on this site. We do not sell or rent your information.
Newsletter and email
If you subscribe to the newsletter, your email is stored with the newsletter platform for the purpose of sending it. Every issue includes an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing removes you from future sends.
Service providers
We rely on third-party services for hosting, scheduling, email and analytics. Those providers process data on our behalf and only for the purpose of delivering their service.
Client confidentiality
Engagement material is handled separately from this website. Published Field Reports only include information that has been reviewed for public release; account names, contact records and commercial terms are not published without agreement.
Retention
We keep enquiry and engagement correspondence for as long as it is needed for the working relationship and for ordinary business record-keeping, then delete it.
Your choices
You can ask what information we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted. Email the request and we will action it.
Changes
If this policy changes, the updated version will be published on this page.
